:

Rio views :
inhale hours,
exhale years

***

through the unthinkable
green it sinks: a butterfly,
a thought

***

look at them all -
throwing flowers into the sea...
and there goes my rose

***

against falling water,
up and up, through shafts of light,
blue butterfly

***

this perfume:
flowers under my feet
or her ?

***

pouring rain, just yards away
from the sheltered hammock
on our roof

***

like a giant butterfly,
each Day opens it's wings :
Sea and Sky

***

"I just came to say hello... I'm Donna"- she said,
we shook hands, looked at my painting;
her, stark naked in the sun

Writing free-style haiku is another form of Painting for me. It came to me as a surprise during my first months in Rio de Janeiro. There was no time to draw or paint...

It is about the rhythm of words and images inside our heads when we read...

from RIO PENTHOUSE:

tiny skirts,
what are you made of ?
Parrot's eyebrows

***

what better way
to learn a language
than with a woman in love !

***

Lagoa at night;
crickets too
are entranced

***

when Marcia's head got itchy,
she blamed damned Portuguese.
Of course

***

storm cloud about to burst :
probably, no one will be shot
tonight

***

"Where are you, Big Bear ?" -
"Here I would be called
'Big Sloth' "

***

clouds with beards
sweep the ocean.
Come, sweep my soul !

***

slowly parting the stars,
zeppelin floats, all lit up
as I swim in dark water

***

from INTERIOR:

the village has 3 shacks
and boasts
one entry phone

***

walked all day.
This magic jungle:
Your face

***

among mango trees,
between mountain streams
murmuring rainbows sleepwalk

***

the jungle:
grandfather of all
churches and brothels

***

stop talking,
you will see
more

***

fragrant parasites
take this indifferent giant
for a leisurely ride through time

***

wandering among tree tops
like erotic dreams:
layers of fog

***

you can stop
now, if you want,
you can die right here

from VILLA:

like our gecko's tummy,
full of mosquitoes -
sky full of diamonds

***

"humming bird, is it this beauty
that keeps you flying all day?"-
"this hunger"
